Final Thoughts
The design of this product is nice, it looks and feels like it should work but as it is only throwing air at the bottom of the laptop it does not have much (if any) cooling effect on the actual internal components. That said, if you do want to use your laptop on your lap then this device will help, but only to the same extent that many laptop stands will. We have no evidence that the fan actually has any effect and we believe that the reduced temperatures we saw are more to do with the fact that the device is raised up off the surface.
Further to this though, the fan can provide a nice refreshing draft in your room but it moves such a small amount of air it just doesn’t have any effect on a laptop.
If you are looking for something to buy so that you can use your laptop on your lap then i first recommend finding a cushion to use, if this isn’t good enough then find a metal tray. This product in my view is not really worth buying, it’s only use is as a stand and well their are cheaper alternatives to that – in fact PoundLand sell one (and guess how much for…)
