Cooltek Reveal New UMX2 Midi-Tower PC Case

This week saw Cooltek release their latest PC chassis, the UMX2. The new case features a steel and aluminium construction, and measures in at 445 x 200 x 421mm. It’s pretty well equipped for its size too, with four USB ports on the front (2 x USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.0), a slim 5.25″ optical drive slot, 3 x 3.5″ and 2 x 2.5″ drive bays, as well as three pre-installed 120mm fans.
With seven PCI slots the chassis is perfect for ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards, and will handle graphics cards of up to 280mm long, so it’s pretty competent and should be compatible with most of the motherboards and graphics cards on the market today.
Priced at around 169.90 Euro the case is far from cheap, this is certainly for the more enthusiast end of the market who want something stylish for their next gaming rig. I can’t help but think it bears even a remote resemblance to the In Win 904, but in many ways it looks like a lot of different cases I’ve seen, with products from In Win, Silverstone and Fractal looking like they’ve been blended into one, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The case does seem a little expensive for its overall specifications, but the external design looks absolutely superb, so it’s hard to make a real judgement on it without seeing it in real life, but Cooltek have made some great products in the past, so I’m sure it’ll be as awesome as it looks.
