A Closer Look – Exterior

First impressions of the Corsair 460 White are very good indeed. This is one very stylish looking chassis, with a soft white paint job inside and out. What’s more, the tempered glass is crystal clear. This does mean the system interior is extremely exposed, so your cable routing skills had better be on point.

The front panel is clear too, although since there is a dust filter between it and the fans, it does look slightly darker. I do like the design of the dust filter though, with its honeycomb design that really adds to the aesthetics quite nicely.

Front Panel

At the top of the front panel, you’ll find a feature-packed I/O panel. On the left, you’ll find lighting controls, which hook up to the internal RGB hub, which in turn hook up to the included fans. Along from there, you have your usual system controls, audio jacks, and a pair of USB 3.0 ports.

The 460X takes airflow pretty seriously, and you’ll find plenty of ventilation up top, as well as a full-length magnetic dust filter.

Whip off the filter, and you’ll find both 120mm and 140mm fan spacings up on the top; perfect for more fans, or some radiators if you need them. Of course, it’ll also provide passive ventilation too.

Down the right side, there’s just a solid metal panel. It’s mounted with a pair of thumb screws for easy access, but otherwise, it’s pretty standard. However, it does look slick in white.

Around the Back

Around the back, you’ll find all the usual bits and pieces. There’s a 120mm fan/radiator mount at the top. However, there’s no fan pre-installed here, just the three fans in the front. Below that, you’ll find seven expansion slots, each fitted with a reusable metal cover; plus a little extra ventilation next to those.

The base of the chassis is neat and tidy too. It has four chunky feet that provide very good ground clearance, allowing for airflow to the dust filter for the PSU air intake.
