Corsair 460X RGB White Tempered Glass Chassis Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

The Corsair Crystal Series 460X RGB White mid-tower chassis is available from Corsair with an MSRP of £149.99. That’s not cheap, but then again, nothing about the product screams “budget model”. This is a quality product from top to bottom, packed full of high-end features. When you factor everything from the fans to the glass into the equation, I think it’s very fairly priced. However! The MSRP can bite me, as the chassis is now only around £113 on sites like Amazon, which is honestly a freaking steal.

Overview

We’re coming to the end of 2018, and I have to admit that the Crystal SEries 460X is one of the best chassis I’ve seen this year. Admittedly it isn’t a new model for Corsair, we’re a little late getting around to reviewing this model. It’s also basically just a white model of the 460X that launched some time last year. However, that does diminish it from being one of the sleekest and most modern looking gaming chassis we’ve ever tested.

Compact

This chassis can handle some serious hardware. Our build today packed in a 280mm radiator, five fans, a Threadripper motherboard with a 24-core CPU, and a high-end PSU. There’s still room for more cooling, more storage drives, and multi-GPU setups too. The internals are a bit snug, but again, it’s still very much workable, it can just be a tight job getting the cable routing done. The smaller footprint is great though, and with such impressive air flow and filtering, it’s sure to keep performance strong.

Aesthetics

Corsair has done a great choice with the detail work here. Some white chassis tend to look a little “off” somehow or have a dull while, or that nasty glossy plastic paint look. Not here, it features a pristine matte finish that oozes quality. The crystal clear glass is fantastic quality too, and perfect for showing off your build. Of course, the addition of three premium-grade corsair RGB fans, two built-in fan/RGB controllers, and an RGB 6-port hub sweeten the deal a lot too. Buying those seperately would not be cheap.

Should I Buy One?

This is by far one of the best value high-end chassis on the market today. To get something this well made, this stylish, with this many features and extras for little over £100 is going to be hard to beat. Highly recommended!
