Corsair A115 CPU Air Cooler Review

Stock Temperatures
With stock settings, the Corsair A115 Air Cooler performs very well indeed, scoring just 83c under full load, which puts it right on par with the mighty Noctua NH-U12A, albeit, Corsair actually has a slightly lower idle temperature, not that this makes much real-world difference, of course.
Overclocked Temperatures
With our Intel Core i9-12900K @ 4.9 GHz on all P-Cores and 4 GHz on all E-Cores using our undervolted 1.3v configuration, performance went up significantly, and temperatures plummeted, with the Corsair now scoring just 70c, a staggering 13c drop over stock settings despite being overclocked. That’s actually better than any air cooler we’ve tested by a 3-4c!
Stock Acoustics
Acoustics are superb too, hitting just 45dBa, putting it just about in the middle and about 2dBa louder than the Noctua U12A.
Overclocked Acoustics
However, once we overclocked, it actually ran quieter than the U12A at load, which is very impressive, as that means it’s running both cooler and quieter than what is/way the gold-standard for CPU air coolers.
Cinebench R23
The stock Cinebench R23 score was a little on the low side, still within what we expect from our CPU, but as you can see, the MA824, U12A, and Assassin IV all performed a little bit better here.
However, that score shot up with our overclock, and again even with the low noise and the 13c drop in temperature, we saw an impressive increase of 1891 points in Cinebench R23.
