CORSAIR has today announced the launch of its MP700 PRO Gen 5 M.2 SSD which is capable of top next-generation storage speeds up to 75% faster than PCIe 4.0 SSDs.
The MP700 PRO is a Gen 5 SSD from CORSAIR which boasts speeds of up to 12,400 MB/s read and 11,800 MB/s write placing it at the top of PCIe Gen 5. On top of this, it features random read/write performance of 1.5 Million and 1.6 Million IOPS respectively. These high speeds will enable users to get the most from their games with Microsoft DirectStorage, whilst copying and moving files at blistering speeds.
Such high speeds demand top-notch cooling which CORSAIR provides two options including air and water. It uses the standard M.2 2280 form factor and is fitted with an active heatsink featuring a small fan that blows through the heatsink rather than out the top like most others on the market. This in turn leads to a less obtrusive and clean design. Alongside this is the Hydro X version which is fitted with a pre-assembled water-block using two standard 1/4″ fittings.
The 1 TB and 2 TB CORSAIR MP700 PRO PCIe Gen 5 x4 NVMe M.2 SSDs are available immediately from the CORSAIR webstore and the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors. The 4 TB MP700 PRO will be on shelves later this winter.
The MP700 PRO is backed by a five-year warranty, alongside the CORSAIR worldwide customer service and technical support network.
