Corsair Carbide Series 678C Low-Noise Chassis Review

The 678C is a pretty big chassis, and as you can see, our ATX build doesn’t eat up too much space on the interior. There’s loads of room here for massive GPUs, and even more if you need it thanks to modular drive bays. Another perk is the fantastic cable management, which keeps the build free from excessive trailing cables. Overall, it looks fantastic.
Multi-GPU? No problem! There’s lots of space here even with the PSU shroud. Of course, if you buy a riser cable (sold separately) you can mount one vertically too.
The airflow from the front fan is pretty decent and unobstructed. However, I really do think Corsair need to put the top fan in the front from the factory.
Either way, having three high-quality 140mm fans pre-installed is a welcome boost. Furthermore, it improves the value for money of the 678C overall too.
Cable routing around the top of the motherboard is easy enough too. There’s lots of cable routing holes, as well as good spacing so you’re not fighting to get cables past the motherboard.
Even if you don’t need the front drive bays, they’re a nice addition and look pretty cool. However, there’s nothing stopping you from removing them to keep things looking cleaner.
With all the panels back in place, you get a very clear view of the build. The glass is bright and clear, so that tight cable routing pays off big time. If you put the time in to do a clean build, it’ll really pay off in the long run.
Plus, while it’s not an RGB chassis by default, any LEDs on your hardware will illuminate the chassis easily. Overall, one of the nicest looking cases from Corsair for quite some time, and that’s saying something!
