Complete System

Total build time on the Spec-01 was a breezy 15 minutes, a very quick build overall and this is mostly thanks to the rather simplistic and beginner friendly design. I didn’t have to strip out a mid hard drive bay to make room for our Sapphire R9 270X, because there is no mid hard drive bay. I didn’t have to take any components out actually. Everything fit easily the first time and whilst the chassis is small, the cable routing and general spacing of the components seems pretty good.

The tool free 3.5″ trays work really well and the 2.5″ drive was easily installed with the included screws.

GPU clearance is superb, at least for a single GPU configuration. Those wanting a dual GPU setup will need to take the bottom hard drive bay into consideration as it is not removable.

There is certainly room for a multi-GPU setup and airflow is helped a little more by those ventilated covered at the back.

CPU clearance is very good also, the Raijintek Themis Evo is quite tall (165mm) but the recessed side panel allows just enough extra room for it.

It’s a shame there is no pre-installed 120mm fan in the back, but with two fan mounts at the top as well as one in the back, there is still plenty of ventilation for heat to escape the chassis.

With the side panel back in place, the build looks very neat and tidy. There are hardly any cables on show and those wanting to show off their new build and components will not be disappointed.
