With everything installed, the Corsair 680X is one fancy looking beast! For a bonus kick, I also had a set of Corsair premium PSU cables too from one of my recent reviews, so it seems wasteful not to pop them in here too.
With no PSU in the way, I have an extraordinarily huge amount of space here. For those going for dual or even quad GPU configurations, this space could be very valuable. Furthermore, you can get extra cooling in the front if you wanted, giving your GPUs even more cool air.
Huge GPUs? No Problem!
Not having a PSU shroud does mean that cables have to travel around a bit to get to the GPU ports. However, at least with some braided cables in here, they’re not such a bad thing to have on show.
The cable grommets are plentiful too, so it doesn’t really matter where a cable needs to go, as Corsair provides a route for it to go.
Even first-time system builders should get desirable results easily enough.
Plentiful Fan/Radiator Space
Above the motherboard, there’s more space than you’ll find in most chassis. You could easily get a radiator up here, or just add more fans if you so desire. Plus, it makes it easier to route cables to the top of the motherboard, as I can easily get my hands in this gap.
The fans in the front of the chassis are sublime too. They illuminate the chassis interior beautifully, as you’ve seen in the pictures so far. Since they’re all addressable LEDs, you can customise their colours and effects extensively too.
Behold, the Mighty 680X RGB!
With all the panels back in place, this really is a beautiful chassis to behold. Its use of tempered glass on three sides, means it gives off a warm glow of light from any installed RGB hardware. However, I think it looks great with or without the lighting. Showing off your hardware through the massive window is a joy though.
With all your storage, the PSU, and most of the cables tucked into the right chamber, the build looks nice and clean from every angle.
The design might not be completely fresh from Corsair, but it’s a nice evolution of one of their most popular product ranges. I’d happily have this on my desktop for years to come.
