Corsair Glaive RGB Pro Gaming Mouse Review

Performance
The Glaive was designed to fit the palm of your hand like a glove. It may be best suited to larger hands with its slightly swollen design. However, it fits my hands very comfortable either way. I found any of the side grips proved very comfortable to use too, although I’m sure a favourite would show its self after much more extensive usage.
The lighter design, as well as the large slip mats on the bottom, means the mouse glides on virtually any surface with ease. This is great for a palm rest grip, as the less drag the better; especially with the weight of your hand resting on the mouse. With fingertip grips, the mouse glides like it’s on ice, and is amazingly nimble despite the size.
RGB
It’s hard not to mention the RGB when it comes to Corsair. As you can see, we’ve got loads of lighting packed in here. There’s a set of funky headlight style lights at the front. You have light strips tucked into the side panels, on the Corsair logo, and even those indicator lights. All of this can be changed using iCue, and synced with any other Corsair hardware you own too.
I really like the indicator lights though. You can use these to see your DPI level or profiles at a glance. With such a drastic DPI range on offer, it’s good to know where you stand. I love that I can change the sensitivity in 1 DPI increments. I’m not going to, as that’s more precision than even I need. However, I appreciate the option.
Gaming
Overall, it’s obvious this is a gaming mouse. However, I think Corsair has done the most important thing of all and made it extremely versatile. I could happily use this in the office all day, and I have been. However, it’s just as adept for the eSports crowd, competitive gaming, or whatever you like. There’s more than enough buttons here to dial in work and gaming profiles for everything from MMORPG to MOBA too.
Comfortable
The OMRON switches feel fast and responsive. Playing Apex legends, it certainly kept up with the pace of battle. It’s certainly not holding me back from scoring a few kills, even if I still have room for improvement in my own abilities.
Overall, one of the best gaming mice I’ve used in a while.
