Corsair H100i Pro RGB CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Corsair H100 series have always been reputed to be high-performance coolers and the figures clearly indicate that this is an exceptionally competent solution. When you take into consideration the excellent RGB lighting effects and the fantastic build quality, it’s hard to find any fault with this cooler.

Retailing for a price in the region of £110, this clearly isn’t an inexpensive cooler. Based on the test results though and overall excellent presentation, this reflects excellent value for a cooler you could use for many, many, years to come.

Design and Ease Of Use

I love Corsair coolers. If for no other reason than that they are an absolute doddle to install. There are so many factors in the H100i Pro RGB that make it a tempting option. Not only do you get a cooler that can clearly do a great job, it also managed to do it while being exceptionally quiet. When you also consider the plethora of fixtures that Corsair provides (to suit almost any system) it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into this product.

Even just in presentation terms, the RGB effects to the pump block are nice and bright, but with the software (which is easy to use) you can also customise this to suit your needs.

Overview

In truth, it’s not as if you’re not spoilt for choice when it comes to system coolers. So why should you pick the Corsair H100i Pro RGB? Well, in terms of overall design, even from the packaging, this cooler is absolutely faultless. While it is true that the instruction manual could be a little easier to understand Corsair even provides videos to help you on the product website.

A major key factor for this cooler though is the performance and sound levels. This manages to do a fantastic job at keeping things cool while also running quiet. If that wasn’t enough then the RGB effects might just tip the scales for you.

This is the type of cooler that should be considered an investment, not a purchase, as even overlooking the fantastic guarantee that Corsair offers, this cooler should last you many, many years.

Pros

  • Excellent build quality
  • Stylish design
  • Easy to install
  • Exceptionally quiet fans at idle-mid use.
  • RGB effects are pleasant while not overpowering.
  • No reason why this cooler can not last you many years without any problems.

Cons

  • None

Neutral

  • A little on the expensive side for a 240mm cooler, but you do get what you pay for!
