Performance

On the test bench I found that the H105 may not be the best cooler we’ve ever tested, but it’s certainly competitive. Idle temperatures are comfortably low, just 3c above ambient and load temperatures around about average at 24c above ambient.

In terms of noise I found the H105 to be pretty consistent, with just 41 decibels being recorded at both idle and load states, placing it quieter than quite a few other water cooling units on our chart.

While overclocked we see the H105 really starts to pull its weight, coming in just behind the Enermax Liqtech coolers, but beating out the H75, Zalman and many others. 36c above ambient is very good indeed and its more than low enough for a heavily overclocked CPU. Idle temperatures we’re also very good too, just 2c behind the Liqtech 240mm.

The lower temperatures have come with a little extra noise at load, but when compared to the competition its actually a lot quieter than many of the other water cooling units on our chart. Zalman Reserator 3,  Antec 650 and Corsair H75 are all louder than the H105, leaving Corsairs latest effort par with the new Enermax Liqtech coolers.
