The cooler pump-block is very well presented. The Corsair logo is prominently on display, but in truth, I don’t think it detracts from the look. It comes with an Intel-compatible bracket fitted which is nice for those owners. AMD shouldn’t fear, however, as there is an adaptor included for your socket sets. It was, however, a nice touch to get this out of the box and be able to pretty much immediately mount it onto the backplate. As with most Corsair cooling products, it does come with pre-applied thermal paste which is protected in a plastic case. We do, however, remove this as per our testing methodology.
The pump-block does require 2 fan connections and in addition a SATA connection (the latter presumably to power the light). It is, perhaps, a little shortsighted that Corsair does not include a double adaptor as some (admittedly less expensive) motherboards may only have 1 CPU fan port. That being said the vast majority of motherboards now do include a specific one for the pump. The contact plate is nice and large meaning an optimum amount of contact with your processor is possible.
The radiator is 120mm in width (to match the fan) and sits 157mm deep. This is about the usual size you would expect to see for a single radiator cooler. The black colour (to match the fan) is a nice touch, but overall over than this, there is very little to say about it on a design or aesthetic level.
The fan is a Corsair 120mm design which, to be honest, there is very little to speak about, at least on an aesthetic level. It has the Corsair logo to the centre and is black. Unlike some fans, the 9 wings do not have any notable special features and as such, some may see this as a little plain and disappointing. There are no lighting or RGB effects to the fan (which isn’t entirely uncommon for AIO systems) to which what you think of that comes down to personal preference.
The pump-head has some basic led lighting. Before some of you start panicking, this isn’t the RGB insanity you do see in some Corsair products. The logo is lighted with a nice white colouring which is understated and actually looks really good when turned on. If you’re not a fan of RGB, but like a system with a bit of style, this certainly adds a dimension to that.
