Final Thoughts

Pricing

The Corsair currently retails for around £65-£70 and for a cooler than provides this performance, that’s a bargain. It is a little more expensive than other brands when it comes to AIO coolers, but you really are getting what you pay for here. The performance figures alone show that this cooler is holding its own against many that cost in excess of £30 more. This is definitely one of the best value for money AIO coolers we have seen and with the performance as well, that still seems like a massive understatement.

Overview

I’m delighted that Corsair has been able to restore my faith in their single fan AIO coolers. The product is well presented, easy to install and the performance figures are highly-impressive. In addition, the LED lighting to the pump-head is an excellent addition and makes it look really impressive despite it actually being a minor touch. The only criticism I could make, and it is an exceptionally minor one, is that the packaging used to house the cooler in the box is cheap.

Build Quality

For a product of this budget you generally tend to not expect much and while the aesthetics are a bit plain (with the exception of the pump-head) this feels like a really well put together piece of kit. Although the box doesn’t specify an anticipated life-span (usually in hours), this product feels bulletproof. With the exceptional range of chipset compatibility as well, this could survive you many different builds for years to come. As I mentioned above, the screws to fit the fan to the radiator are a little tight and this might give some cause for concern, but again, I’m only able to highlight a minor point.

There is a point to be made in regards to the actual liquid pipes. They are not protected with any sheathing. While this makes them a lot easier to manoeuvre than some models, they could be liable to be pinched.

Fans

This product comes with one Corsair own 120mm fan. It provides almost total coverage for the radiator. While the design is a bit bland (with no RGB lighting) it looks solid and does the job it’s meant to admirably. Although our testing did not entirely match the figures given by Corsair, it wasn’t notably worse and as such I would consider their own average DBA declaration of 36DBA a fair assessment.

Performance

While the aesthetics might be a little bland, the performance figures certainly are not. In terms of both stock and overclocked, the figures in temperature and sound were well above our expectations. The Corsair H60 even managed to compete with a lot more prestigious (and impressive looking) coolers. We honestly can’t stress enough how impressed we are with this product.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re after a reasonable inexpensive AIO cooler, then definitely. Yes the Corsair H60 doesn’t have many bells and whistles that we see probably far too often these days, but that aside, in terms of a solid look and those performance figures, we would struggle to suggest something better for this price range. Given all the coolers we have in our office, I have decided to leave this one on our test bench as the regular runner. If that doesn’t tell you how much we like it, I don’t know what will.

We would consider giving this the editors choice award, but given the performance based on the price, it has to be bang for buck. Do not, however, confuse that for us calling this a budget model with all the connotations that brings. This is a massively impressive performer for the price and one of the best single-fan AIO coolers we have seen to date.

Pros

  • Simple installation. The pre-installed Intel bracket is a nice touch.
  • Excellent presentation with good information on the box.
  • Punches well above its price with top performance figures.
  • Exceptional value for price beating many more expensive models in many areas.
  • Lighting to pump-head is an exceptionally nice touch. It looks impressive, yet understated.

Cons

  • None.
