Corsair HS55 Wireless Gaming Headset Review

A Closer Look
The HS55 is a great-looking headset, offering up two colour choices, black or white, you can easily pick which one you love the most. I’m glad I chose white though, as it looks absolutely stunning with that matte grey two-tone look.
The branding is kept pretty tasteful throughout, with just the Corsair ship sails logo on the ear cups in black against a grey/silver round cap.
The Corsair logo in a tasteful font is found on the headband.
The build quality is excellent, not that I expected anything less for a £99 headset from a premium brand like Corsair.
The headband and ear cup mounts are designed to give excellent ergonomics, with the ear cup able to change the angle to suit your head shape/size more easily.
There’s a dual metal band interior with a rubber strip in the middle, allowing the headset to remain strong, but very flexible too.
Plus, the ear cups can rotate, allowing for an even better and more balanced fit, but also making them comfortable to wear around your neck between games.
The material choices are really nice too, with good quality PU leather materials on the ear cups over a deep layer of memory foam.
There are the same materials on the headband, ensuring a very comfortable fit. The thick padding and adjustable ergonomics, as well as the lightweight design, mean you can wear this headset for those long work days and gaming nights and almost forget you’re wearing it.
There’s a Type-C port on the bottom of the ear cup, allowing for quick and easy charging.
And you’ll find an easily accessible volume wheel which has an infinite turn design and can be clicked for a quick mute function. The microphone also has a mute button but also incorporates an auto mute when the microphone is folded up, this is just for when the microphone is folded down.
