Corsair HS80 Max Dolby Atmos Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Corsair is one of the biggest names in the business, with one of the largest portfolios of enthusiast PC hardware on the market today, and countless awards for their high-end performance and build quality, oh and RGB, they have a heck of a lot of that too! Honestly, though, it’s been a long time since I had a Corsair headset in for review, so I’m eager to see what the Corsair HS80 Max has to offer, but looking at the spec sheet, I suspect Corsair are in for another win here.

Corsair HS80

The HS80 Max takes the already well-established, popular and award-winning HS series we know and love, and takes it to the next level in terms of performance and features. It has multiple connectivity options, allowing it to work on everything from your computer, to your phone, to your consoles. There’s longer battery life, faster charging via USB Type-C, more comfort thanks to improved memory foam and fabric cloth ear pads, and improved audio courtesy of Dolby Atmos processing, their latest 50mm high-density drivers, and what Corsair say is a “broadcast quality microphone”. So really, it’s ticking all the right boxes here, and there are still more features beyond that, which we’ll get to later.

Corsair HS80 Max Features

  • Low-Latency 2.4Ghz Wireless Plus Bluetooth: Enjoy low-latency 2.4Ghz wireless audio with an amazing range of up to 50ft and high-fidelity 24bit/96kHz sound – double that of typical gaming headsets – plus Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Multiplatform compatibility for PC, Mac, PS5, PS4, and Mobile: Use the same headset for PC, Mac, or PlayStation, or connect via Bluetooth to mobile devices and more.
  • Long-Lasting Battery Life: Enjoy up to 65 hours of battery life over 2.4GHz wireless or up to 130 hours with Bluetooth. (With RGB off. Up to 24 hours over 2.4GHz with RGB on.)
  • Hours of Long-Lasting Plush Comfort: Memory foam ear pads with breathable cloth fabric and stress-free floating headband design deliver incredible comfort and are reinforced with lightweight aluminium to endure years of competitive gaming.
  • Package Contents: CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS Headset – White | Wireless USB Receiver | USB Charging Cable, 1.8m | Safety Leaflet | Warranty card | CA-9011296-EU

What Corsair Had to Say
