Corsair is one of the biggest names in the business, with one of the largest portfolios of enthusiast PC hardware on the market today, and countless awards for their high-end performance and build quality, oh and RGB, they have a heck of a lot of that too! Honestly, though, it’s been a long time since I had a Corsair headset in for review, so I’m eager to see what the Corsair HS80 Max has to offer, but looking at the spec sheet, I suspect Corsair are in for another win here.
The HS80 Max takes the already well-established, popular and award-winning HS series we know and love, and takes it to the next level in terms of performance and features. It has multiple connectivity options, allowing it to work on everything from your computer, to your phone, to your consoles. There’s longer battery life, faster charging via USB Type-C, more comfort thanks to improved memory foam and fabric cloth ear pads, and improved audio courtesy of Dolby Atmos processing, their latest 50mm high-density drivers, and what Corsair say is a “broadcast quality microphone”. So really, it’s ticking all the right boxes here, and there are still more features beyond that, which we’ll get to later.
“Enhance your audio, forge your legacy. The CORSAIR HS80 MAX multiplatform gaming headset delivers true high-fidelity 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth® connectivity, with immersive Dolby Atmos® and a broadcast-grade omni-directional microphone.” – Corsair
