It seems almost counter-intuitive to me that the mounting problems I had with the H100i are fixed with the H55. It uses a different mounting system whereby the screws just stop if you keep screwing, they do not bend like with the H100i. The H55 mounting kit is very good, it gives a very firm mount and is relatively the simple. The only things to watch out for are make sure the screw holes in the backplate are pushed firmly in and if you are mounting on LGA 1155 don’t be put off by the fact the backplate is very wonky when lined up with the holes – it still works perfectly well.
With the tubes facing the RAM there are not any compatibility issues.
If you were mounting the radiator it would go at the back of your case above the rear IO. Due to the fact the unit is so compact it should fit in most cases comfortably, the only issue you might have is a top mounted fan might get in the way but that is easy to get around by removing it.
