Corsair iCUE 465X RGB Smart PC Case Review

Exterior
The 465X looks pretty much what we expect from Corsair and their iCUE range these days. Of course, that’s not a bad thing, as this looks absolutely fantastic. There’s a big sheet of tempered glass on the left side, matching up with even more glass suspended on the front of the case. I love how the front glass is suspended away from the case also, giving huge space for airflow on the sides.
Even More Airflow
For those wanting even more airflow, you’re not left short. There’s a massive air vent on the top of the case. This comes with a magnetic dust filter too. It’s great for passive heat exhaust. However, as you would expect, you can mount fans and/or radiators up here too.
Taking Control
The front I/O is nicely designed, with two USB 3.0 ports, a dual audio jack, and power controls. It’s nothing too crazy, but likely more than enough for your typical PC gamer too.
The front panel glass looks gorgeous though. What I do like is that behind it, they’ve given the dust filter an “X” pattern so that even that adds to the look. Of course, it’s the trilogy of ARGB fans behind that which will literally light things up a bit.
There’s not even much branding on show, which I like. Just this subtle Corsair badge on the bottom of the glass.
Around the Back
The right side panel is just a solid metal panel. It’s simple, functional, and gets the job done. As with the glass, it’s mounted with thumbscrews too, so it’s easy to open up also.
The rear of the case is as you would expect too. There’s no rear fan pre-installed, although it will take a 120mm fan or radiator. I love that they’ve used ventilated and reusable covers for the expansion slots too. However, I don’t like the look of the covers on the vertical mounts. Albeit, I’m happy to see a vertical mount included regardless.
