How Much Does it Cost?

The Corsair 3500X is available now in Black with standard ARGB fans for just £119.99, which is incredibly cheap for such a big-name-brand mid-tower. Even more so when you consider that Corsair has a bit of a reputation for being a bit more expensive, but at the same time, it’s justified as their quality is top-tier. Looking at Scan.co.uk, you can get the 3500X white, with no fans, and it’s only £84.98, while the fully featured 3500X with iCUE Link RGB fan version is £169.99, or just £155.99 for the white version. Overview

Corsair is a masterclass in great quality products, and no they didn’t pay me to say that. While I wouldn’t go so far as to say they can do no wrong, they’ve been on a pretty long winning streak recently. But while they’ve got their flagship cases that cost much more than the 3500X, which are awesome in their own right, the much more affordable 3500X opens my eyes to wonder if I even need those more expensive models. This case ticks all the boxes for what I want from a good quality PC case, and it’s priced in a way that’s attainable to the majority of gaming PC builders.

There’s not a lot in the way of innovation here, but it’s doing a lot right. There are little details, like the top, front, and both side panels being completely tool-free, so you can just pop the panels and glass off quickly to install your hardware, clean your PC, or perform maintenance. There are dust filters in all the right places too, so again, it makes maintenance easier.

Cable management benefits from a blend of both BTF and traditional cable routing, and there’s more space behind the motherboard than you’ll typically see on a mid-tower, so cramming cables out of sight couldn’t be easier. There are cable tie points everywhere too, so you can strap things down neat and tidy if you’re a stickler for perfection in the hidden parts of your builds.

The case supports up to 10 fans, so even with dual tempered glass windows, airflow most certainly isn’t going to be an issue. It comes with three as standard on the version I’ve reviewed today. However, there’s a more premium iCUE LINK version with upgraded fans that have quick connects and the hub, and you can buy the case without fans if you already have some you prefer to use, so it’s great to see Corsair tailoring this to a wider market.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re looking for a feature-rich PC case for your next gaming build, the Corsair 3500X in all its variants ticks a lot of boxes. Great design, durable build quality, excellent cable management, lots of airflow and cooling support, and a surprisingly competitive price tag make it an easy recommendation.
