Corsair, the globally renown PC component manufacturer, has recently announced memory upgrade kits specially for Apple Mac desktops and laptops.
The kits come in both 8GB and 16GB DDR3, giving the previously restrained Mac system users the ability to upgrade to up to 16GB of RAM.
Traditionally limited to 8GB of RAM the Corsair DDR3 Mac memory will now give the range of 10GB, 12GB and 16GB of memory. The memory kits were tested at the Apple Developer Compatibility Labs and is confirmed to work with most MacBook Proc, iMac and Mac mini systems that shipped during the year 2011.
“The ability to go beyond 8GB of memory will be a boon for graphics designers and video editors on the go, IT professionals who need to run Windows virtual machines simultaneously with Mac OS X, network administrators who use Macs as servers or web hosts, or anybody who wants to push their Mac to the limits of its performance,” said Thi La, Vice President of Memory Products at Corsair. “Corsair’s renowned service and support and our limited lifetime warranty make our Mac memory upgrades a smart investment.”
Just like every Corsair product, the DDR3 Mac memory upgrade has been tested to exacting standards and come with a limited lifetime warranty.
The Corsair DDR3 Mac memory upgrade will be available starting January 2012 from authorized retailers and etailers.
