Corsair has announced a new variant of their budget Carbide SPEC-04 case, now with a tempered glass side panel. It features the same award winning layout and design of the original, but now users can show off their internal builds. Other than the glass side panel, the only difference is that the new version is only available with red trim. Whereas the original is available in black or yellow trim as well.
The entire case measures 492 x 201 x 433mm and fits standard ATX motherboards or smaller. Users can fit video cards up to 370mm in length and the maximum CPU cooler height is 150mm. There is plenty of room for storage however, with three 3.5-inch drive bays and two 2.5-inch drive mounting areas.
It can even a 140mm or 120mm radiator at the front (120mm only at rear). All intakes have dust filters, and a 120mm LED fan is pre-isntalled at the front. Users can install up to two 120mm or two 140mm fans at the front, and two 120mm fans at the top. The height is very limited so only fans are recommended up there, as radiators will not clear the motherboard. The rest of the IO panel is along the right side edge.
The Corsair Carbide SPEC-04 Tempered Glass case is now available for only $59.99 USD. That is only $10 more than the regular SPEC-04, so it is still a great value buy.
