Corsair K55 + Harpoon Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

The Corsair K55 Gaming Keyboard + Harpoon RGB Mouse Bundle is available now on Amazon for just £88.07. That’s not “cheap”, but it’s hardly expensive either considering you get two peripherals and plenty of cool features too. Compared to the £150+ for their flagship mechanical keyboard and £80+ for their premium gaming mice, this is a lot more affordable. You don’t need to spend vast amounts of money for great looking hardware with great features.

Overview

Corsair has a strong reputation in the gaming market, and it seems like they can do no wrong these days. Sure, they’re top of the pack when it comes to going mental with RGB. However, they’re bloody good at making great RGB products. The bundle we looked at today may not have the most advanced RGB lighting, but still, it looks great regardless, and that’s all that matters there.

Performance

Faultless, absolutely faultless. Sure, I think a mechanical keyboard and one of their premium mice is still going to be better. However, at much less than half the price of their flagship hardware, it’s not half the performance. These are competitive products that would put a smile on any PC gamers face. The keyboard is fast and responsive to use, and the addition of macro buttons and that wrist rest only help sweeten the deal. The mouse has a solid sensor in it, tracks smoothly, and with up to 6000 DPI, it’ll track fast too.

Build Quality

The build quality is pretty decent overall. OK, the keyboard is plastic vs their more premium ones that use aluminium and steel. However, it’s perfectly fine. If anything, it saves a lot on the cost, it’s still nice and durable, and it looks great too. The mouse is pretty standard, using durable plastics and the sort. However, it’s got programmable buttons, Omron switches, a good sensor, and rubber grips included, so it feels just as good as any high-end mouse on the market.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re building your first gaming PC, I think this would be a great entry point for PC gamers. You don’t need mechanical keyboards and a £100 mouse just to play great PC games. The performance here is superb, and for around £80, you’ll be hard pushed to find a better looking and performing bundle, from a cool brand name like Corsair, for less.
