Corsair K63 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Corsair K63 Wireless is available now with an MSRP of around £119.99. It’s only at a few retailers at the moment, but we expect the stock will be rolling out any time now, so please check with your favourite retailers of choice for up to date pricing information.

Overview

I’m not a big fan of wireless peripherals, as over the years I’ve had a fair few of them and more often than not, they sucked. The dark days of shoddy wireless are long gone now though, and with most of my gaming controllers being wireless, I’m eager to have the same for my mouse and keyboard.

No More Tripping Over Cables

If you game on the big screen, trailing wires from your PC to your couch can be a chore. Not only does it look an absolute mess, but it’s also a trip hazard, and you’re likely to end up breaking something sooner than later. Cutting those wires, of course, defeats that problem pretty quickly and gives you the freedom of movement you deserve.

Lapboard

Of course, if you have the new Corsair Lapboard for the K63, you can game on the couch in comfort, and we’ll have a more in-depth look at that in the coming days. As well as their other new wireless gaming peripherals, which certainly deserve an in-depth look of their own.

The wireless functionality is fantastic though. For me, the keyboard will be wired on my desktop for most of the day, if not most of the week. However, when I use something like Nvidia Gamestream and want to move to the couch, it’s perfect for the job. Even those who just like a cable-free desktop, or something they can tuck behind the sofa for the media centre build, it’s more than flexible for your needs. The TKL design helps too, as it’s more compact and much more portable than a full sized keyboard.

Durable Build Quality

The build quality is top notch throughout too. Corsair has a strong reputation to uphold regarding build quality, and they’ve lost none of it here. Everything looks and feels like a premium quality product. From the office to the eSports scene, it’ll look right at home, and I’m confident it’ll last many years of abuse from even the most intense gaming sessions.
