There’s been quite a big trend for small keyboards in recent years. First, I saw the more enthusiast side of the PC gaming world get into them, mostly through custom self-built keyboards. However, the big name brands are going all in on this trend now too! Today, Corsair is launching their new K70 Pro Mini Wireless, a fully mechanical and extremely well-equipped 60% size keyboard. I’ll admit, a keyboard in this form factor certainly isn’t for everyone, but I can certainly see the appeal of a super-compact design that’s going to be easy to store, take up very little desk space, and also, they just look really cool!
Corsair may have cut this keyboard down to the tiny 60% form factor, but they haven’t cut out 40% of the features, that’s for sure. It has a fully mechanical design, with customisable switches and key caps, so you can really go nuts on that front. There’s the latest Corsair Slipstream wireless, with three connection options, offering 1ms response times in wireless and a staggering 8000Hz Hyper-polling in wired mode. Premium quality materials, extensive RGB options with a full 360-degree time LightEdge too, so you’ll have a lot of customisation options there. It’s also crammed full of secondary functions, with every key packing at least one extra feature, meaning it likely has more functions than most feature-packed full-size keyboards… Well, alrighty then!
“The CORSAIR K7O PRO MINI WIRELESS 60% RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is big on both performance and customization, connecting with hyper-fast, sub-1ms SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS, Bluetooth, or USB. CHERRY MX SPEED or MX Red mechanical keyswitches are easily swappable with any MX-compatible switches for a customized gaming and typing experience. Durable PBT DOUBLE-SHOT PRO keycaps and an aluminum frame are illuminated by per-key RGB backlighting with a 360° LightEdge. CORSAIR AXON Hyper-Processing Technology transmits keystrokes up to 8x faster over USB wired mode. With up to 32 hours of RGB battery life, the K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS enables you to switch it up wherever you go.”
