Corsair has unveiled the MP700 ELITE series, their latest PCIe 5.0 SSDs, now available for immediate purchase. This new series targets mainstream consumers with a promise of exceptional speed and reliability, at a more accessible price point. Equipped with sequential read speeds reaching up to 10,000 MB/sec and write speeds up to 8,500 MB/sec, the MP700 ELITE SSDs aim to transform the everyday computing experience.
The MP700 ELITE series harnesses the power of a PCIe 5.0 x4 controller, enabling users to benefit from significantly faster boot times, game loads, and file transfers. Corsair’s integration of High-Density 3D TLC NAND also enhances both performance and durability, ensuring smooth operation over the long haul. Additionally, the SSDs come equipped with support for Microsoft DirectStorage, which allows for direct communication with graphics cards to cut down on game load times, a clear win for gaming enthusiasts.
Flexible Form Factor and Compatibility
Designed with the M.2 2280 form factor, the MP700 ELITE series is available with or without a heatsink, offering compatibility for various setups, from desktops to laptops. Backward compatibility with PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0 ensures that users on older platforms can still take advantage of these drives. However, for the peak performance Corsair advertises, a PCIe 5.0 platform, such as Intel’s 800-series or AMD’s 800-series, is recommended.
Each MP700 ELITE SSD is backed by a five-year warranty, providing additional peace of mind to users. The included Corsair SSD Toolbox software further allows for advanced drive management, solidifying Corsair’s commitment to quality and user experience.
The Corsair MP700 ELITE series is available now in 1 TB and 2 TB capacities through Corsair’s online store and authorized retailers worldwide.
