Corsair has launched their new MP700 PCIe Gen 5 M.2 NVMe SSDs
The MP700 is Corsair’s first PCIe Gen 5 M.2 SSD setting the standard for the next generation of storage. The drive is available in sizes of up to 2TB and features read and write speeds of 10,000MB/s which is up to 40% faster than previous-generation PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The MP700 uses the M.2 2280 form-factor and is fully backwards compatible with PCIe 4.0 motherboards and features native support for Microsoft DirectStorage to ensure you get the most from the latest games.
The MP700 requires additional cooling to maintain its high performance either through the integrated M.2 cooling system on many motherboards or an aftermarket M.2 SSD cooler. To ensure Gen 5 SSDs maintain their performance and do not thermal throttle having a solid cooler is an important thing to note.
The MP700 is supported by the free CORSAIR SSD Toolbox software which enables convenient features such as secure erase and firmware updates directly from your desktop.
The Corsair MP700 Gen 5 NVMe M.2 SSD comes with a five-year warranty and is available immediately from the Corsair webstore or authorised retailers worldwide.
