The Latest Addition to the Obsidian Series
Corsair is announcing the launch of the 500D, the latest addition to their Obsidian series. The line boasts state-of-the-art features in a minimalist, contemporary form. With the 500D, it brings modern amenities such as USB-C, dual tempered-glass and vertical GPU mounting.
Like all modern chassis, the 500D ditches the external drive bays. In its place is comprehensive radiator mounting at the front up to 360mm. To make installation easier, the mounting system for the fans/radiator pulls out and slides back in. On the other side, an aluminium trim cover creates a clean and sleek look, offering a sliver of ventilation near the sides.
The top area supports radiators up to 280mm and has a similar slide-out mounting. There are also removable dust filters for the front and top as well.
How Big is the Obsidian 500D Case?
The Corsair Obsidian 500D measures 502mm x 233mm x 508mm. It has seven expansion slots available, with 3x 2.5″ drive mounting and 2x 3.5″ drive support.
The maximum PSU length support is up to 225mm, while the maximum GPU length is up to 370mm. For those using an air cooler, the maximum CPU Cooler height is 170mm.
How Much Does the Corsair 500D Cost?
The Corsair Obsidian 500D is now available for €154.90 EUR Inc VAT.
