Corsair has thoroughly embraced the RGB craze with their product line, outfitting all manner of hardware from cases, keyboards, and even mousepads with RGB LED lighting. They also have begun offering a standalone RGB LED upgrade solution with the new Lightning Node Pro. Each Corsair Lightning Node Pro pack comes with the Lightning Node Pro hub, four Individually addressable RGB LED strips, four RGB LED extension cables, two HD RGB LED fan hub adapter cable, a Mini USB cable and two mounting tape strips. Each LED strip is 410mm in length with ten RGB LED chips inside. This strip is covered with silicone for protection, with an Ingress-Protection rating of IP65 which means it is totally protected from dust and protected against low pressure jets of water from all directions.
To install, users can either directly mount it to steel enclosures due to its magnetic backing. For users with an acrylic, aluminium or any non-magnetic enclosure however, the bundled double-sided adhesive strips will allow installation on almost any surface. It is compatible with 4-pin RGB LED motherboard headers so it can be syncrhonized with the rest of the system. It can also be controlled via Corsair Link software via USB 2.0, so it can be controlled inside systems without the built-in 4-pin RGB LED header.
It is available in Europe with a manufacturer suggested retail price of €59. 90 with VAT included.
