The setup we reviewed today is the Corsair CO-9050072-WW LL120 120 mm Dual Light Loop RGB LED PWM Fan (Pack of 3) – Black. It comes with three fans, the Pro Hub, and the RGB lighting hub. This isn’t cheap, settings you back around £93, and while that is a lot of money, there are some things to keep in mind. You get both hubs with this setup, and it’ll support more than three fans. If you want more, you don’t need to buy this bundle twice. Single and dual fan packs are available separately.
Overview
These are some of the coolest fans on the market today. Corsair has a strong reputation for innovation in the RGB lighting market, and these fans are the next big thing from their feature packed range. What differs the most is the Corsair Link software, which works with their entire range. You can run multiple fans throughout your system, a keyboard, headset, mouse, mousepad, headset stand, and more. Of course, you can sync up the lighting effects across all of them from a single easy to use software suite. Overall, it’s one of the easiest setups to work with and offers easy to use yet extensive customisation options.
Performance
As far as fans go, they’re superb quality. The performance is great, offering plenty of airflow, particularly on the 140mm models. Even more important, they’re super quiet, and easily on par with any other high-end cooling fan on the market. Sure, some will buy them simply for the lighting effects, but airflow and acoustic performance are important too, and they won’t disappoint you in that respect.
Build Quality
The latest fans come with rock-solid construction that is sure to last. Every fan comes with anti-vibration rubber mounts and all black hardware. The inclusion of some adhesive pads and cable ties also help ensure your final build looks just as good as the fans.
Should I Buy Them?
That’s a tough call, as for anyone that just needs some fans, they’re pretty darn expensive. If money is no object and you’re willing to throw nearly £100 at fans, possible double that if you have a larger system build, then I say go for it. If you want customisation like no other, they’re a great choice. Sure, you may not want it spinning rainbows all day. However, with full RGB colours and programmable effects, you’re sure to get them exactly how you want them.
