Corsair M65 RGB Elite Gaming Mouse Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing this product wasn’t even released. It’s due to be revealed to the public on the day we publish this review, while we’re at CES 2019. We’ll be at the show, bringing you all the latest. We’ll update this page as soon as we can. However, check with your favourite retailers for up to date pricing if required. Just remember to make sure it’s the 18k Optical version, as there are plenty of other M65 models on the market.

Overview

Corsair love to replay the classics, and they don’t get much more classic than the Corsair M65. I’ve owned a few of the previous models myself over the years, and they’ve served me well for a LAN party gaming. For my home gaming, I typically use a much higher button configuration mouse for work/gaming. However, for just pure fun, precision, and FPS dominance, the M65 is the perfect tool for the job; at least, it is for me.

Bigger and Bigger Than Ever

Corsair has taken the original M65 and improved it further than it has ever been before. I mean, at the very least we can all appreciate better quality switches and a greatly improved sensor. Would someone on the last model need to upgrade today? Maybe not, but if your old one is wearing out a little and you are after a replacement, it makes sense to step up to the slightly better model. For those looking to buy their first M65, I think they’re all great. However, the new 18,000 DPI optical sensor is Corsair’s current flagship sensor that will be rolled out to several other models in their range. It’s a beast, and one you may not want to miss out on.

Build Quality

The M65 has always been a durable mouse, featuring that lovely aluminium chassis design that makes it both strong and light. Of course, you can make it heavier using the built-in weight tuning system too. Durable outer panels, a quality sensor, Omron switches that are good for 50m clicks, and a durable braided cable, all add up to a mouse that’s sure to last.

Should I Buy One?

Overall, this is the best M65 to date. Not a huge departure from the original one, but just fine-tuned and improved enough without compromising what made the original so great. If you’re a fan of the previous models, or just looking for a solid gaming mouse that’s still versatile enough for day-to-day use too, then look no further.
