Corsair’s Neutron NX500 NVMe PCIe x4 SSDbegan selling almost six months ago. They initially only offered a 400GB and an 800GB version, but have now begun offering the 1.6TB capacity option. Understandably, it does not come cheap, however it boasts blazing fast speeds and high capacity for those who need it.
The Corsair Neutron NX500 measures 12mm x 22 x 183 mm and weighs 0.62 lbs. In terms of performance, Corsair claims speesd of up to 2800 MBps read and 1600MBps write in Crystal DiskMark. In ATTO, the 1600GB version runs up to 3000 MBps read and 2300 MBps write. The 4K Random read performance runs up to 300,000 IOPS while the 4K random write goes up to 270,000 IOPS.
The Corsair Neutron NX500 is currently available for purchase now via NewEgg.com. The 800GB version has a $699 price tag while the 400GB version is $319. The new 1.6TB version is listed for $1,785.00. These drives are also available directly from Corsair’s website for users outside of the US. In Europe for instance, the 1.6TB version costs €1769.99 EUR, while the 800GB costs €744.99 and the 400GB version is listed at €364.99. All prices have the VAT already included.
