Corsair Nightsword RGB Tunable Gaming Mouse Review

How Much Does it Cost?
The Corsair Nightsword is available now from Amazon UK for just £69.99, while readers in the US can grab one for $79.99. I’ve seen some reviews snark that it’s expensive, but honestly, it’s a pretty great price. You can pay well into £100 for some rival flagships and get nothing extra in return. For this many features and this level of performance, it’s a good benchmark for any gamer.
Overview
Corsair rarely (if ever) disapoint when it comes to gaming peripherals. The Nightsword is a prime example of this. It’s packed full of flagship features that really make it worthy of your attention. I don’t think there’s anything really innovative about it though, but that doesn’t diminish what it has to offer one bit.
Sensor
The Pixart PWM3391 18,000 DPI sensor certainly is the star of the show for me though. Being able to tune it in 1 DPI increments means you can properly fine-tune its performance precisely. Plus, when you add in surface calibration, weight tuning, the sniper button, and those huge slipmats, they all compliment each other perfectly. From precision work in Photoshop to frantic twitchy FPS shooters, it’s very well suited to anything really.
Build Quality
Corsair has put a lot of attention into the design here. The durable rubber grips are comfortable, but also very hard-wearing. then there are the tough matte finish mouse buttons, and that shiny gloss detailing around the edge. The whole thing feels robust, with ergonomics that fit the hand well in multiple grip styles. The inclusion of a braided cable, premium switches, and more, all help justify the premium price.
Should I Buy One?
There’s no shortage of great mice on the market these days. However, with four-zone full RGB lighting, 10 fully programmable buttons, a stylish design and comfortable grip, and one of the best sensors on the market, the Nightsword is strong competition for any other mouse out there.
