RGB LEDs have finally reached peak status with the launch of Corsair‘s VENGEANCE RGB PRO Light Enhancement Kit.
These are basically replica DDR4 sticks that look like regular VENGEANCE RGB PRO memory modules. Minus the actual memory. It effectively ditches performance entirely for aesthetics.
Since there are no actual memory modules, it is compatible with both Intel and AMD DDR4 systems as well.
The kit itself is comprised of two pieces, ideal for fully populating open DIMM slots. It looks highly identical to regular VENGEANCE RGB PRO modules that it even has a PCB and plugs into the slot like a regular RAM stick.
This is a more economical way for people who are very conscious about how their ‘rigs’ look. Especially since DDR4 memory prices are not dropping any time soon.
Its RGB LED lighting behaviour is exactly the same as a regular working Corsair RGB LED RAM kit. So users can control it via their iCUE software and synchronize it with other Corsair products.
This light enhancement kit is available in both white or black heatspreader versions. Both available for only $39.99 USD.
In comparison, two 8GB sticks (16GB) of 2666MHz VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 costs $139 USD.
