Corsair Readies Neutron XT Line of Solid State Drives

Corsair is getting ready to launch their next line of solid state drives called the Neutron XT. This new line of high-performance SSDs is set to a release as early as January 2015 and sure look like being worth a closer look..
The new line is said to enter the top consumer spectrum with solid performance backed by the new Phison PS3110 quad-core controller and Toshiba A19 MLC NAND flash that runs on an 8-channel interface. Features include native 256-bit AES encryption with TCG Opal 2.0 compliance, SmartFlush to push inbound data to the flash and minimize the chance of data-loss during a power failure, as well as an updated SSD Toolbox software.
The Neutron XT will initially be available in three capacities: 240, 480 and 960GB. It’s however not unlikely that more options might be introduced at a later point. The performance figures look very impressive with sequential speeds of up to 564MB/s reading and 547MB/s while writing. Random IOPS top out at 100K on reads and 89.9K on writes.
There is no word on pricing yet, but the drives come backed by a 3 year warranty and are standard 2.5-inch 7mm form factor.
