Pricing
The Corsair RM 750X is available now for around £115.00 That is about the price you would usually expect for a Gold rated power supply give or take a little margin. When you consider though that this model comes with a 10-year warranty, that price guarantees (or more accurately, protects you) for the long-term future use. With test results more often seen in Platinum-rated power supplies as well, this might actually represent excellent value.
Overview
There is very little to fault with this power supply. Not only does it come well presented, but it also clearly has the performance to back it up. The silent/passive running for even average use is a fantastic feature and even when the fan does come into play, the power supply remains exceptionally quiet.
Efficiency and Beyond
The Corsair RM 750X performed fantastically in our testing. In terms of power efficiency, the results put this gold-rated power supply more in line with figures seen from Platinum. In addition, the PFC rating was also incredibly good and much higher than the Corsair own advertised testing suggested. This, combined with its practically silent operation at even mid-level output load shows this is an excellently designed power supply.
Should I Buy One?
At this price range, for a Gold rated power supply, you are a little spoiled for choice. In terms of performance though, the Corsair RM 750X does a fantastic job. Not only does it look good, even for a power supply, but it also gives excellent, efficient and stable power output. It has even shown itself more than capable of exceeding its own limits. Along with the 105C Japanese capacitors and the 10-year warranty, you can be fairly certain here that you are also getting a product that is not only designed to last, but also packs a heck of a wallop.
