Efficiency

Being an 80-Plus Gold efficiency power supply, the Corsair RM1000x clearly has some reasonably high-specifications. Following our testing, however, it would appear that these are entirely justified as it met the ‘Gold’ standard throughout all of the various power outputs. – The only factor we would note is that this was close at times to falling within ‘Silver’ territory.

So, in a nutshell, we can confirm that this is 100% Gold rated in terms of its efficiency, but it pretty much only does exactly what’s required to meet that and no more.

PFC (Power Factor Correction)

While starting off low (which is never unusual for power supplies at low consumption levels) the PFC quickly rockets off to provide some excellent results the harder you ask it to work.

Voltage Regulation

Throughout all of our various tests, the voltage regulation was amazingly solid and consistent with it providing very minimal levels of overall deviancy to the ‘perfect’ score. So in terms of the power outputted across the various voltage rails, there’s nothing to be concerned about here at all! In fact, it’s actually all really good!
