Corsair T3 Rush Gaming Chair Review

Performance

I’m not gonna lie, I bloody hate building gaming chairs. They’re bulky, heavy and the screws never fit right. That’s amazingly not the case with this one though, it went together so flipping easily. Even those pesky plastic covers on the sides of the backrest mounts went on without a fuss. So, right off the bad, I already like this gaming chair. From box to built up in about ten minutes, yeah!

The next thing I love about this chair is that it’s like sitting on a really nicely made couch, or even a modern and nicely made mattress. It’s quite firm, but as you sit on it, then you sink into the soft fabric a little as the tension of the spring system gives way. However, you then slowly settle down a little further as the memory foam layer exhales under you. It’s very comfortable and so much lighter on the body compared to my usual noblechairs setup.

Speaking of lightness, this thing has the strange combination of being quite light, but not feeling flimsy. It doesn’t rattle and clunk around as the cheap chairs do, but it doesn’t weigh as much as a depleted star like my noblechairs does.

I think a lot of that is thanks to the base. It’s big enough and weighted enough to keep the whole thing feeling very stable, but it’s really quite light.

The armrests look fantastic, and because they’re lightly padded, they’re very comfortable even when you dig your elbows in.

They can be moved right back so that they’re pretty much digging into the backrest, although you can also move the inward and outwards too if needed.

There’s a lever on the right so you can adjust the height of them too.

Plus, if you need a little more adjustment to get them comfortable, you can pivot them inwards and outwards too. So, you’re not short on armrest adjustments, that’s for sure!

I do love the little details too, such as the side plastic mounts are pretty basic, but they look pretty clean too.

They even included some little rubber grommets to bung the hole once you’ve screwed it into place.

Overall though, I think it’s a very stylish and clean looking chair. The matte grey texture is a refreshing look too. A lot of gaming chairs are quite garish. I’d even argue that the geometric pattern on the armrests is a little “loud” for such a smart-looking chair.

Bung on the lumbar and neck cushions to complete the look.

I’ll point out, there are optional, but this chair does feel a little odd without this cushion. On the plus side though, it’s a very comfortable velour-like cover with a memory foam insert, so it couldn’t be snugger against your spine.

The back rest can be bright right up straight, but due to the design, this would actually leave your shoulders pushed forward. It would give good support for small children though.

If your a middle-aged lazy sod like me though, you can wind it right back and have a nap… Actually, that gives me an idea.

See Corsair, I can improve it. My Corsair Christmas blanked and Corsair pillow really ramps up the snug factor. Optional extras perhaps?

Diving it home, it compliments my system well. I’ve been sat in this for about a week now, and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s comfortable, breathable fabric goes a long way, and I can’t really fault it.
