Corsair Unveil Force LS Series Solid State Drives

Corsair has quietly unveiled its latest series of solid state drives which go under the brand name Force LS. These new SSDs are powered by a Phison controller and use Toshiba MLC NAND Flash memory. They come in the usual 2.5 inch form factor using the SATA III interface. They are 7mm thick so ready for all notebooks and ultrabooks that require slim drives. As expected these drives more or less max out the SATA III interface offering up 560MB/s read and 535MB/s write.

Corsair’s Force LS series of SSDs are backed by a 3 year warranty and recommended retail pricing is as follows:

  • 240GB – $200
  • 120GB – $110
  • 60GB – $70

It is not known if these drives will come in larger capacities such as 480GB. In the UK we are seeing the following pricing for the Corsair Force LS Series of SSDs:
