Corsair unveils Voyager Air at CES 2013

Corsair is launching the new Voyager air- their first All-in-one mobile wireless storage drive/home network attached storage/ USB storage drive/ Wireless hub.

It comes with a capacity choice of 500GB and 1TB with a rechargeable battery, Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 connectivity, giving it a lot of options for digital media enthusiasts – irrespective of whether it is stationed in a room or for on the go media/file sharing.

This works with PC or Mac and Corsair has an app for Android and iOS devices. It can be quickly connected to your existing home network and lets you access the content stored in it via Smart TVs, blu-ray players, Gaming consoles, DVRs and even streaming media systems. It also lets you stream HD content via Wi-Fi even without an internet connection. This unit uses 802.11 B/G/N Wi-Fi networks for multiple users up to 90 feet, but for HD streaming it lets you to stream up to 5 devices simultaneously.

Corsair promises that the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery provides upto 7 hours of video streaming.

The Voyager Air will be available from early February worldwide. The 500GB and 1TB versions will be sold with a choice of Glossy red and Soft-touch grey casing. The MSRP is $179.99 for the 500GB model and $219.99 for the 1TB models.
