Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 1866MHz 16GB Memory Kit Review
A Closer Look
The kit really is as close to perfection as you will find in terms of aesthetics. You’ve got a sleek looking aluminium top-plate which adds a beautiful finishing touch and we already mentioned it is available in four different colours – silver, red, blue and gold. There is also a full black PCB which will please most people (including myself).
With it installed in your system the aesthetics are dominated by those aluminium top-plates. Of course the silver looks a bit strange on our ASUS Maximums VI Formula but you could opt for the red kit instead.
Despite the colour mismatch I think these modules look stunning.
They do seem rather decent but it’s been a long time since I seriously tested RAM. I’m still stuck at 1866 MHz myself due to the fact that I just apply the XMP profile on my personal rig. Nothing else.
Same but i got the old vengeance 2 x 4gb kit
Old or new the performance should essentially be the same so no need to rush out and buy this kit. If you want more memory, just add a further 2 modules (assuming you can still get the older kit which I’m sure you can).
nice i would like to win some of that
just buy it. the 2133mhz models work great too
i want some!! Let me test out for your you and Ill send it right back!!! Hmmmm LOL Corsair is a leader would buy anything from them !
