Corsair Void Pro RGB Gaming Headset Review

Corsair Void Pro RGB Gaming Headset

The Corsair Void headset range is by far one of my favorites on the market today. Since it launched, I’ve personally given awards to multiple headsets in this range, so I’m happy to see them continue to develop well into 2017. You can check out our reviews of the Void USB Dolby 7.1 RGB, Surround Hybrid, and Stereo models for more details there.

The latest edition looks to blend many of the features of the Void headsets that came before it. The Pro packs features like the powerful 50mm drivers, and the stunning build quality and aesthetics of the previous models. However, it keeps an affordable price tag, giving it broad appeal. Furthermore, by using a USB connection, it comes plug and play ready, making it easier for anyone to use on any PC system.

Comfort. Redefined.

“Enter the VOID—the innovative family of advanced gaming headsets from Corsair. Whether you choose wireless, USB, or stereo powered audio gear, you will always be one step ahead of your enemies. Corsair VOID headsets not only feature great sound but are comfortable enough to stay on your head for long gaming sessions. The fast forward design features light weight, contoured ear cups, and other leading edge tech. Corsair VOID headsets are the ultimate synthesis of performance and comfort.”

Wired or Wireless

The model we’re reviewing is USB wired, but there are many products in the Void range. If you need a wired, wireless, USB, or 3.5mm. How about RGB or not RGB? There’s an option for you. One thing I already love about the Void Pro RGB we’re reviewing today is that it comes with support for Dolby Headphone 7.1 processing. The headset is stereo, but the processing engine will give you surround effects for your compatible movies and games.

 In The Box

The headset doesn’t come with a lot of extras, but it doesn’t need to. In the box, you’ll find the headset, some documentation and an optional microphone foam head to help reduce higher frequency noises such as wind noise.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
