Final Thoughts

Price

The Corsair Void Pro Surround and Pro USB are just £75 and £79 respectively. Both of them are fantastic headsets and exceptional value for money, with pretty much all the features found on the Void Pro Wireless. However, with the Pro Wireless, you get all the best features on offer, as well as the wireless technology for just £95, which I think is a pretty reasonable premium over the other models.

Overview

I’m a big fan of the latest generation of Corsair headsets, as it seems they can do no wrong. Are they the perfect headset? Well, that’s pretty subjective, but they’re probably some of the most competitive in their respective price range. They are marketed as a high-end gaming headset, which makes sense, as Corsair is seen as a gaming brand. However, I found the headset to work fantastically for music, movies, and day-to-day work in the office. A good headset should be great no matter what you throw at it, and the Void Pro Wireless handled everything with class.

Design

The style of the Void range is as good as it gets in my opinion. They’re some of the most beautiful looking models on the market today. The little details like the luxurious padding and reinforced metal ear cup mounting just give them a premium quality look and feel that cannot be faked. If I could change one thing, it would be a detachable microphone, but that’s hardly a deal breaker, and it folds out of the way quickly.

Dolby

The sound quality is impressive, but it’s the Dolby Headphone processing that puts the icing on the cake. Surround sound on headphones has improved dramatically over the years, and it doesn’t get much better than this. Being able to tweak the EQ so much, use Dolby, and squeeze out all the detail of the audio that was intended to be heard; this is exactly what I want in a headset. Style be damned, sound quality trumps all.

Should I Buy One

It’s a pretty clear-cut case here, if you like the design and you’re happy with all the feature, do it! For just a smidge under £100, you’ll be hard pushed to find anything better. In fact, you won’t find anything better until you’re spending north of £150 in my opinion, making the Void Pro Wireless a suitably fantastic deal.
