Intel’s NASPT software is not something that I would normally use to test a wireless hard drive or any single drive storage solution at that, but given that the Voyager Air is network connectible, its worth seeing how things stack up when plugged into our Netgear GS724TPS managed Gigabit switch and given the full beans of what the test suite has to offer.

Corsair claim that the Voayger Air should be capable of network speeds of up to 108MB/s read and 40MB/s write, but what we find within NASPT is that in the real world these speeds are much lower than expected. In this particular case, File Copy from NAS is the figure that we need to look at for read speeds and File Copy to NAS for write speeds. Instead of reaching towards the expected 108MB/s mark when reading, the Voyager Air only manages to push out data at around ~33MB/s whilst writing is limited to around 23MB/s.
