Cougar has been manufacturing an impressive range of peripherals which target competitive price points and exhibit excellent build quality. The company’s latest product is the Attack X3 RGB gaming keyboard which looks very promising. The keyboard is a tweaked version of the Attack X3 and now supports RGB lighting. The product is available in Cherry MX Black, MX Red, MX Blue and MX Brown mechanical switches. This provides users with a huge range of options and something to suit your typing style.
The keyboard has a brushed aluminium face-pate which exudes a premium feel and allows the RGB illumination to become more spectacular. On another note, the Attack X3 RGB supports N-key rollover and 1000Hz polling rate should make it suitable for competitive gaming where reactions are key if you’ll excuse the pun. Also, the keyboard can store up to three sets of macros quite easily. The bundled Cougar UIX software allows you customise the macros and set RGB lighting profiles.
As you can see, the product is built to a high standard and has clear key caps. Unfortunately, Cougar didn’t reveal any information about the product’s price but I’m expecting it to be cheaper than the Corsair K70 RGB.
