Cougar @ Computex 2023

We haven’t worked with Cougar for a while here at eTeknix, but I’m happy to say, that’s is soon to change. While they had some stunning PC cases, peripherals, cooler and much more at their booth, I want to talk about the most interesting product they had. Gaming chairs used to suck, mostly the same crap from some no-name factory from wherever. However, this Computex, the gaming chairs are all unique, next-level and interesting, but few come close to this magical beast.

I sat in it, and well, it’s about the most damn comfortable chair I ever have sat in. I have back issues from years of PC use, but this chair just fits like a glove. I noticed it has a spine down the back, which is mostly to look badass, but honestly, it holes the chair ergonomics to a natural position too and allows for plenty of ergonomic adjustment to suit your needs.

I asked Cougar about this, and they said that one of their sister companies makes medical equipment and physiotherapy chairs, and they basically got them to OK the ergonomics, so rather than just making a racing seat and throwing wheels on it, they’ve actually considered the idea that a human may actually want to be comfortable in this.

Even the feet and wheels have a pretty unique look to them.

And then I sat in it some more, quite a lot actually, Andy was off filming and I took my shot.

And a little more, but this time, laid back like a total boss.

Honestly though, props to Cougar for not only creating one of the most comfortable chairs of the show, but one of the coolest looking too. It looks like something out of an Alien movie.

…Oh admittedly, this one may be literally cooler, as it has a huge fan in the back!

But even then, I think my gaming space needs a few of these mini Lazy boy type chairs too. Either way, Cougar are top of their game for chairs right now.
