Cougar continues to go from strength to strength with its fantastic range of PC cases. I recently reviewed the new Cougar MX440 MESH RGB, as well as the Cougar DarkBlader X5, and I absolutely loved them both. However, today, I’ll be taking a look at the Cougar DarkBlader X7. I have high expectations of it too, previous cases have all been stylish, well made, and competitively priced, and I’m expecting no less of the DarkBlader X7. However, the X7 has one truly unique feature; it’s green! Most cases are black, white or quite literally somewhere in between. However, I’ve noticed a growing trend on the horizon to step back from pure RGB themes and throw some real colour in the mix. Admittedly, Midnight Green isn’t a huge leap from black, but it’s the start of things to come, trust me.
It’s certainly a well-equipped PC case, offering impressive support for both air and liquid cooling. It’ll take up to a 360mm radiator and up to 7 fans in total. Furthermore, it comes with Cougar’s own VORTEX ARGB VK120 fans pre-installed, There’s room for up to an E-ATX motherboard, as well as room for a 400mm graphics card, large GPU coolers, and so much more, so without a doubt, you can get a pretty potent system inside the DarkBlader X7. Plus, it’s ticking a lot of other boxes too, such as an ARGB lighting controller, dust filters on all intakes, a PSU shroud, vertical GPU mounting, tempered glass window, and more!
“DarkBlader X7 Distinctive RGB Mid-Tower Case Distinctive Style with Dazzling RGB Lighting Effect DarkBlader X7 refined wedge-form and asymmetrical design bring a unique and modern style with ARGB strip to display amazing lighting effects. Enjoy the Dazzling RGB Show The integrated lighting button with built-in LED controller allows DarkBlader X7 to display amazing lighting effects. It can also work to a compatible motherboards’ 5V ARGB connection for system-wide lighting synchronization. The powerful lights come out of stylish panel and the reflective surroundings helps reinforce the RGB effects. Massive Tempered Glass Left Panel With the full-length PSU cover hides cables and a massive tempered glass left panel presents a clean and tidy build, you can easily build a pro-level system. Furthermore, we use metal frames, instead of drilling tempered glass with 4 holes in corners, which helps to upgrade the durability. Vertical GPU Support This revolutionary case is both about performance and aesthetics. To bring your system’s awesomeness to the limit, DarkBlader X7 supports vertical GPU installation. Top-notch Gaming Hardware To offer top-notch performance, DarkBlader X7 is able to house a mighty build. Its excellent support for up to 400mm-long graphics cards and E-ATX motherboards bring you unprecedented freedom of hardware system. Superior Cooling With great support for up to 360mm water cooling radiator and seven fans, you will enjoy superior cooling horsepower to keep advanced components safe from overheating.” – Cougar
