Cougar G800 GX-Series 800W Power Supply Review

Cougar clearly don’t only know how to design the insides of power supplies as they to a fantastic job at designing both the packaging, and the exterior of the unit. The box has a real high quality look to it with a black and gold colour scheme that reflects it’s 80+ Gold certification.
The front of the box is kept nice and clean which is always a plus in my book. It contains a large Cougar logo, the model and a few key features. I like the way they have produced a pretty flashy design while maintaining a quality appearance.
The rear of the box contains all of the information which normally leads to a cluttered design, however this has been very well organised and despite the vast amount of information on the back, it is still very clear and concise.
The right hand side is virtually blank save for a few small photos of the unit itself.
The left hand side is home to the key features of the unit laid out in a thumbnail format.
Opening up the box reveals the unique modular design of the packaging- it is made up of multiple slide out compartments which allows you to access parts and put things back neatly.
