Being a gold-rated efficiency power supply, this does have some rather high requirements to meet. The good news is that in our testing, we can confirm that this certification is justified.
Admittedly, at 20% load, the score only just creeps above the 88% mark. After that, however, it’s all plain sailing for the Cougar GF-X Aurum.
The PFC rating for this power supply is generally very good. Admittedly, it does take a bit of a wobble around the 60% mark that may, however, tie into some other mildly unusual results we saw in our testing.
The voltage regulation for the Cougar GX-F Aurum was excellent. With the exception being the -12V (a rail that’s not particularly important these days) all of the results were generally consistent and provided a very low average deviancy.
