Cougar is announcing two new gaming mice with similar internal hardware but different shapes. The new Minos X5 and Revenger S cater to users with differing finger and grip styles, while offering reliable hardware design inside. Using a PixArt PMW3360 optical sensor players can expect 100-12000 DPI and 2000Hz polling rate with 250 IPS and 50G acceleration. Both mice have 512KB of on-board memory for storing presets, including RGB LED colors options.
The Revenger S measures 130(L) X 65(W) X 43(H) mm and is for right handed users. It has thumb buttons on the side and a sliver of space on the right side as a ring finger rest. It weighs 94 grams without the 1.8 meter long USB cable. The Revenger S has a DPI cycle button, rubberized coating along the sides for grip and 2-zone RGB LEDs
The Minos X5 on the other hand is a little bit more compact, with a uniform body layout. It measures 120(L) X 65(W) X 38(H) mm and weighs only 88 grams. It would have been a true ambidextrous mouse if there were no thumb buttons on the left side. Like the Revenger S, it has a DPI button, rubberized coating along the sides for grip and 2-zone RGB LEDs.
Both the Cougar Revenger S and Minos X5 are available now from Amazon.com for $49.99 USD.
