COUGAR Launches GX V2 Series of 80Plus Gold PSUs

Cougar, a global manufacturer of PC components, has released a new series of power supply units (PSUs) targeted at gamers. The Cougar GX V2 series, all 80Plus Gold Certified, comes in 600W/700W/800W/900W/1050W models and provides up to 93% peak efficiency, the highest efficiency standard in the industry.
One major upgrade present in the GX V2 series is Cougar’s patented Vortex fan, a 140mm hydro-dynamic bearing fan, dramatically improving lifetime and reducing noise to a minimum.
The series received an aesthetic upgrade as well. The new rugged black coating combined with the gold vent grill adds to the overall robust and aggressive appearance of the unit, creating a beautiful PSU that will be highly-coveted among gamer friends.
The GX V2 series also improves on the modular cabling of previous units. The new unit utilizes flat cables that simplify installation and reduce air friction within the case, maximizing airflow, offering gamers extra space inside their PC chassis to easily install upgrades while maintaining cool temperatures.
Automatic dynamic load distributing multi-12V rails provide power separately to the GPU and CPU, a crucial determination of a power supply’s ability to run demanding multi-graphics setups in SLI or CrossFire mode safely and effectively.
